Sadly,
50 Cent and his 19-year-old son Marquise Jackson have yet to repair
their relationship. In an Instagram post that has since been deleted,
the rap mogul made his first public reference to his estranged son in
months, continuing his stance that Marquise mother is the reason for
their severed ties. Writing that Marquise will eventually “hate his
mother,” 50 captioned a throwback photo of him and his son with some
unfortunate commentary.
“This
kid is gonna hate his mother when he realize what she did to him. He
has to make it on his own like I did. SMH GOOD LUCK,” he wrote.
Back
in March during a sit-down with Angie Martinez, 50 Cent confirmed that
he has not been in contact with Marquise. Calling their situation
“complex,” 50 blamed Marquise’s mother for instilling a sense of
entitlement in him after his failed relationship with her. He also
claimed that Marquise has shown no interest in making amends and meeting
his little brother, 50 Cent’s three-year-old son Sire.
“I haven’t spoken to him,” he admitted to Martinez. “With him, that situation is so complex. I think over time, she’s installed her entitlement, even in being a privileged child. I don’t think there’s a way that a child that has interest in his siblings, that you could restrain him at 19. I don’t understand it to be honest with you.”
50 Cent also spoke on Marquise’s ties to Floyd Mayweather and Slowbucks, who the 19-year-old was pictured with at the height of 50’s controversy with them both.
“His
mother’s views, he’s embraced it. You see him sitting next to Floyd
when he thought I had problems with Floyd, you see him sitting next to
Slow[bucks]. It’s too cool to not be Little 50 that he’s associated to
everything around me but me.”
When
asked in March if he would be willing to work things out with his son,
50 said “Possibly. I’d be listening to see what he’s saying.” Refresh
