Court of Appeal in London rules in favour of Rihanna over Topshop, makes her $5million richer

The Court of Appeal in London upheld a ban on Topshop selling a sleeveless T-shirt featuring a photo of Rihanna taken during a video shoot in 2011 for her album without obtaining her permission. Rihanna sued Topshop's parent company Arcadia for $5m back in 2013 over the T-shirts,and the court ruled in her favour on Thursday, 22nd January making her $5million richer. Her lawyer had argued that it was false advertising as it would make her fans buy the shirt thinking it was endorsed by Rihanna.
