Meet the new Florida reserve police officer, Shaquille O'Neal

The retired NBA star who played who played two-decades in Orlando, Los Angeles, Miami, Phoenix, Cleveland and Boston is now a reserve police officer in South Florida.
Shaq, like he is globally known, was sworn in by Doral Police Chief Donald De Lucca at the Doral police department on Tuesday afternoon.
While he will be serving as a role model for children and doing mostly community work, he will not be paid and will cover his own insurance costs. Kind of like volunteering.
O’Neal has previously served as a reserve police officer for Miami Beach and Golden Beach in Florida, where De Lucca was also police chief, as well as in Tempe, Arizona and the Port of Los Angeles. Two of O’Neal’s uncles were police officers, while his stepfather was a sergeant in the army. Right now, the Doral police department’s next goal is to figure our how to make uniforms for the 7-foot-1, 324-pound man. “His shoe size is huge, but nobody knows the exact number,” Carlos Arango, the senior executive assistant to the chief said. “At some point we’ll get him an official polo shirt, but for now he has his badge.” This dude is a real giant, lol.
