The countdown is now down to hours before Nigeria’s presidential elections and President Obama has sent a warm message to the Nigerian people to highlight the opportunity that the upcoming elections present for all Nigerians to stand together in rejecting violence and extremism and instead show their support for a more peaceful, secure, and prosperous future.
In a video posted on the U.S. embassy in Nigeria’s YouTube page, Obama emphasized the importance of conducting free and fair elections, and called on all Nigerians to unite to create a positive future for the country.
