Giuliana Rancic Leaving 'E! News' Anchor Post

Rancic will be stepping down from her day-to-day hosting duties on the show but will remain with the network. Giuliana Rancic will leave her "E! News" anchor post next month, the network announced Wednesday.

Rancic, who co-owns RPM Italian and RPM Steak restaurants in the Near North neighborhood, will continue to co-host "E!'s Live From the Red Carpet" and a retooled "Fashion Police," which endured criticism earlier this year after Rancic made a comment about teen actress Zendaya Coleman's red-carpet dreadlocks seemingly smelling "like patchouli oil or weed. Maybe weed." The change takes effect Aug. 10.
"For more than a decade, I was fortunate enough to play a role in the success of 'E! News' and will miss my family at the show," Rancic said in a statement. "At the same time, I am excited to not only continue as host of two major franchises on E! but also executive produce the aspirational new show 'Rich in Faith' for Oxygen as well as take my wine and clothing lines to the next level."

Rancic married Chicago native Bill Rancic, who won the first season of "The Apprentice," in 2007.
