Sean “Diddy” Combs has merged his Bad Boy Entertainment with LA Reid’s Epic Records.
Combs quipped, “I have known [LA] since the very beginning.”
Epic got off to a rocky start when Reid joined in 2011.
“He was doing reality TV his first year and not completely focused,” a source said. “There were a lot of bad moves.”
Epic since bounced back by signing Mariah Carey, Meghan Trainor and Travis Scott. An insider added the deal with Epic helps Combs reclaim his position as a “music mogul and an artist.”
