With all the hate coming their way, the Kardashians are powerful individually, but they’re even stronger together. The Kardashian ladies — that is, Kim, Khloé, Kylie, Kourtney, Kendall, and mama bird Kris — are photographed together for the first time in four years, and it’s on the November 2015 issue of Cosmopolitan, which celebrates the publication’s 50th birthday.

The magazine has bestowed them the hefty moniker of “America’s First Family,” and unlike many of their other flashy covers, these five women are wearing simple white button-up shirts and light makeup. The photographer was Francesco Carrozzini (son of Italian Vogue editor in chief Franca Sozzani), the stylist was Elizabeth Stewart, and according to Kylie, they’re wearing Marc Jacobs, Calvin Klein, and Jimmy Choo. By this point, the Kardashians and Jenners have become not just household names, but individual powerhouse brands, from Kendall’s supermodel status to Kylie’s transformation into a social media deity to Kim, Kourtney, and Khloé’s beauty and fashion ventures.
“No one could have predicted the Kardashians’ and Jenners’ success. But when you spend time with them, what resonates is the family unit. There are so many things about them that are glamorous, crazy, and unlike our lives, but the sense of family is universal. They love and stand by one another no matter what,” executive producer of Keeping Up With the Kardashians Ryan Seacrest told Cosmopolitan. “Their unvarnished candor reveals how close they really are. What’s more, they present acceptance. You look at Bruce and now Caitlyn — you see the power of a family to come together when it would be so easy to fall apart. There’s comfort in viewing that steadfastness of love.”
The issue isn’t out on newsstands until October 13, but it will feature individual photos and stories from the sisters.
