President Obama Pays Tribute To Michelle Obama On 23rd Anniversary

President Obama took to Twitter on Saturday to pay tribute to Michelle Obama on their 23rd wedding anniversary. Click to see his tweet!

“Twenty-three years and still going strong. Here’s to many more. #HappyAnniversary,” tweeted the President. Included was a picture of the First Couple in the White House (see below). It’s unclear when the photo was taken.

The Obamas wed on October 3, 1992. They went on to welcome daughter Malia in 1998 and Sasha in 2001. With the President now in the home stretch of his second and final term, he and the First Lady will celebrate just one more anniversary in the White House before he leaves office.

Many have considered the Obamas’ strong marriage and adoring relationship to be an asset during his presidency. And, as Gossip Cop has reported, their love story is being turned into a feature film. Called Southside For You, the movie chronicles the couple’s “epic first date” on Chicago’s South Side.

On that date, the future spouses went to see Spike Lee’s Do The Right Thing. The evening culminated in their first kiss. In the film, the young versions of the President and Michelle, then known as Michelle Robinson, are played by Parker Sawyers and Tika Sumpter. The movie is expected to hit theaters sometime next year.
