Bobbi Kristina Brown was buried on Monday at Fairview Cemetery in Westfield, New Jersey. The 22-year-old was interred next to her mother Whitney Houston, who died in 2012. Several of Bobbi Kristina’s family members were in attendance at the burial, including her father Bobby Brown, grandmother Cissy Houston, and aunt Pat Houston. Also buried in the plot is Bobbi Kristina’s grandfather John Russell Houston.
Shortly before the Monday afternoon burial, Newark police were seen leading a procession of cars, including a gold hearse, to the cemetery. Cissy was photographed sitting in the car driving immediately behind the hearse carrying Bobbi Kristina’s body. According to reports, there was a pink theme and the pallbearers were seen wearing pink Converse sneakers with pink belts. The Houston and Brown families were seen leaving Fairview Cemetery shortly after 1 p.m.
As Crunch27 reported previously, Bobbi Kristina died on July 26 in an Atlanta-area hospice, nearly six months after she was found facedown in a bathtub at her home. Her funeral was held on Saturday at Saint James United Methodist Church in Alpharetta, Georgia, but was somewhat marred when he aunt Leolah Brown was thrown out for screaming at Pat Houston when she began to give a speech about her niece. Security guards immediately escorted Leolah out of the church, and Tyler Perry helped diffuse the situation.
Following the private funeral, the Brown and Houston families gathered at Pat’s Atlanta home for a reception. Noticeably absent from the funeral and burial was Bobbi Kristina’s boyfriend, Nick Gordon, who is at the center of a possible homicide investigation stemming from her death.
