Nicki Minaj left an $11,000 Emilio Pucci dress behind at a Nassau County wedding venue after her brother’s nuptials Saturday.
The hip-hop mogul had helped plan her older brother Jelani Maraj’s wedding on Saturday to Jacqueline Robinson at the Coral House on Milburn Lake in Baldwin, NY.
The star had arrived early to the wedding and headed to the bridal suite with her entourage to help the bride get ready, according to sources.
The “Anaconda” singer, who looked stunning in a plunging red dress, was seen looking emotional during the ceremony, and stayed for the entire reception, mingling with her family and hitting the dance floor until well past midnight.
But Minaj — who sources said didn’t want to upstage the bride on her big day — ended up leaving another show-stopping bronze sequined Pucci gown in a garment bag in the bridal suite, with the $11,000 price tag still attached.
Coral House owner Butch Yamali said, “I’ve had a few calls from people trying to claim the dress. But the gown is so valuable, I only want to give it directly back to Nicki or someone from her family.”
Minaj’s stylist Rushka Bergman, who has worked for Vogue Italia and L’Uomo Vogue and was the personal stylist for Michael Jackson for three years, on Monday afternoon called the wedding venue to claim the Emilio Pucci dress.
We’re told Bergman, who said she’d arranged for designers to loan the dresses to Minaj for the wedding, was “screaming on the phone” and demanding staff, who had already taken great care with the garment, “keep the dress locked up until she could send someone to pick it up.”
