I Wouldnt Make Promises To Nigerians If I Don't Know How To Go About It - Muhammadu Buhari

President elect, General Muhammadu Buhari in an interview told the BBC's Peter Okwoche he needed the co-operation of other countries to tackle Boko Haram more quickly.
He has asked Nigerians not to expect him to perform miracles once he assumes power come May 29th, but for their cooperation because the destruction and corruption took so many years in the Nigerian governmental system. 16 years of the ruling party's (PDP) rule of Nigeria According to Buhari, the triumph against the sect members would not be immediately achieved once he gets into power but said with cooperation from Neighboring countries and the commitment of the military, the war would be won in a short time.
On all the promises he's made to Nigerians he said " I think i wouldn't have made these promises if he didn't know how to go about it."
"For five, six years, the Nigerian enforcement law agencies, including the military, couldn’t secure 14 Local Governments. How can I promise miracles when I come? But with the cooperation of our neighbours Cameroon, Chad, Niger and the international community, and the commitment we are going to get from the military, I think it will take us a much shorter time to deal with it”, he said.
