Justin Bieber was allegedly put in a chokehold before getting thrown out of Coachella, and now the superstar is threatening to sue.
The incident took place on Sunday night, around the time of Drake’s much talked-about performance. The singer, who had spent the weekend hanging out at Coachella with friends, arrived with his security to see Drake’s show through the artists’ entrance. The event’s security, however, refused to let Bieber enter, saying the area was at capacity, despite Bieber and his guards having the proper credentials and a personal invitation from Drake. According to TMZ, Coachella’s security was insistent that Bieber leave, and he allegedly refused, saying that he would get mobbed by concertgoers if he attempted to watch from the crowd. But when a festival staffer then offered to escort Bieber and his security into the location, a Coachella security member came up and allegedly put Bieber in a chokehold. An argument then ensued between the two security camps.
Bieber was then kicked out of the festival, though sources close to him tell the site that he left voluntarily. He and his camp are now said to be considering legal action against the Coachella security.
