Man Grew Boobs Because Of The Hormones In Fried Chicken

This one is directed at all those who swear by fried chicken. I know a bunch of them and this is for you..yes you, Lol! You might want to cut down on this juicy piece except you want more than just those satisfying sweetness and the loads of calories fried chicken brings. Here's why.

A 26-year-old man has apparently developed breasts because his go-to snack is laced with hormones.
Mr Li, a Chinese college graduate, visited doctors after his chest began to change.
Medics told him to lay off fried chicken wings and drumsticks and add more fruit and vegetables to his diet, as the hormones in the white meat were the reason behind his inflated bust, reports Chinese news site en.people.cn.

Gynecomastia – the enlargement of breast tissue in males – can be caused when an imbalance of oestrogen and testosterone occurs, but there are no reputable studies which officially link the condition to diet.

The graduate’s breast tissue growth was apparently down to eating fried chicken And, to be clear, this is not independently verified aside from the Chinese news site.
To find out if we should steer clear of fried chicken, Metro.co.uk consulted an expert.

Miguel Toribio-Mateas,  professional nutritionist and chair of the British Association for Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy, told Metro.co.uk: ‘It’s a tricky one because it’s down to genetic composure as well. Oestrogen from external sources – meat for example – is not going to affect everybody.’
So you’ll be relieved to know it’s not as simple as men eating meat and then breast tissue inexplicably grows – thank God.
Toribio-Mateas added: ‘But if meat is treated with hormones, the body can react.

‘If you eat meat that has been treated with growth hormones, for example, and if genetically you are respondent to those hormones as a man, then you are more likely to develop tissue in places where you shouldn’t have excess tissue.’
He also explained that obesity was much more likely to cause the condition, but if anyone is concerned about hormones in animal products they should adopt a more plant-based diet and choose organic grass-fed meat.

Gynaecomastia
Excess breast tissue in men can be caused by a number of issues; including, hormone imbalance, obesity, medication, illegal drugs, excess alcohol consumption, a health abnormality such as kidney failure or liver disease.
Treatment can entail medication to adjust a hormone imbalance or surgery to remove the excess tissue.
