Roger Federer, 33, and Novak Djokovic, 28, faced off once again! The two tennis pros met at Wimbledon on July 12 to battle it out for the men’s singles championship, and it was Novak who proved to be the best by the end of the match. What a game! This marks Novak’s third Wimbledon title and ninth Grand Slam title!
Novak won the first set 7-6 in a tiebreaker round with Roger. The second set proved to be just as intense. After brilliant plays by both Novak and Roger, these two headed into another tiebreaker. This time around, Roger beat Novak 7-6 (10). Their back and forth had everyone on the edge of their seats. The Wimbledon final was now an even game.

The game was delayed due to rain, but it didn’t take long for the men to get back on the court. Novak won the third set 6-4 to lead 7-6, 6-7, 6-4! At this point in the game, Novak only needed one more set to win his third Wimbledon title. For Roger, he needed to win two more sets to nab a record eighth title. Novak took the Wimbledon win after beating Roger 6-3 in the fourth set!

Roger made his way through the last Wimbledon rounds, beating Gilles Simon and Andy Murray in the quarterfinals and semifinals. Novak plowed through the final rounds by beating Marin Cilic and Richard Gasquet. This set up another intense match-up between Roger and Novak.
