Everyone seems to be cutting ties with Donald Trump since his announcement to run for president and his sleek mouth but his kids are standing by him through his controversial campaign for president.
In a statement provided to People on Tuesday, Ivanka, Eric, and Donald, Jr. say, “Our father, Donald J. Trump is a true visionary and a great mentor. He is a brilliant negotiator with a proven track record of getting things done. Most importantly, he is an incredible dad and role model. He raised us to work hard and strive for excellence in all that we do. We love and respect him very much.”
As Gossip Cop reported, Ivanka introduced Trump at his presidential announcement last month. The whole family was on hand for the launch event, though they haven’t been that prominent on the campaign trail since then. And while Trump is no longer involved with NBC’s “Apprentice” franchise, it hasn’t been determined yet if his three children will still serve as advisors on the upcoming season of “Celebrity Apprentice.”
Trump has been leading GOP polling, but he’s also been vilified by his opponents, and a number of celebrities, for inflammatory remarks about Latinos, John McCain, and more. Hours before his kids released their joint statement, former “Celebrity Apprentice” winner Piers Morgan published a column in the Daily Mail defending his former boss, and arguing he shouldn’t apologize for any of his incendiary comments.
