Jon Stewart on life after ‘The Daily Show’

I know we all kinda miss Jon Stewart on The Daily Show and would like to know things like his mistakes, what he liked about his job and so on.
Walking up to Jon Stewart’s exit as host of Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show” next month, Comedy Central’s multi-platform team today posted video of Stewart taking questions from his audience before this afternoon’s taping, which appears to have happened over a period of time, given the number of different neckties, though all the suits look alike.
Click for the questions.

Among the questions were the expected: What he likes least about the job; his biggest mistake on the show; what advice now would he give himself when he started hosting the show (“There’s going to be some guy in Washington Square Park; he’s going to sell you some weed…”); which public figure has been his biggest source of material (“Do you watch the show?”); is he returning to stand-up comedy (“That’s how I started and that’s, I’m sure that’s how I will end.”).

If Stewart was asked during any of those pre-taping Q&As to address Wyatt Cenac’s interestingly timed story about an alleged exchange he says he had with Stewart while working on the show, it was not included in the comp tape. Stewart did, however, get asked about the animal sanctuary he’s established on a farm he bought in New Jersey:
“The plans for the animal sanctuary is to bring animals there and trick them into thinking it’s a sanctuary and then just have a giant barbecue,” he joked.
“Let me make something clear, I’m not dying,” Stewart wrapped up in the comp tape, echoing the gag he made at the top of a show in February, 24 hours after announcing he would step down from “The Daily Show” sometime this year: “Did I die? Because it all seems very ‘I died.’”
