If you think Dbanj is losing his star power, you might want to think again! He's had a history of gracing major international concerts and this will add to his impressive portfolio.
The Nigerian Afrobeat star has been added to the lineup of
performers at the Global Citizen 2015 Earth Day concert. The concert will take place on April 18, 2015 at the Washington Monument Grounds in Washington D.C.
D’banj will find himself in some pretty serious company for the April 18 concert as he will perfom alongside global acts including Usher,Mary J. Blige, No Doubt, Train, Fall Out Boy, The show will be hosted by popular producer and Black Eyed
Peas front-man Will.i.am as well as veteran journalist and former CNN
anchor Soledad O’Brien.
Additional performers are slated to be
announced in the coming weeks, so it’s possible that another African or
possibly a Caribbean artist could be added to the concert lineup. The
event coincides with the 45th anniversary of Earth Day, and also the
spring meetings of the World Bank Group and the International Monetary
Fund. Good job Dbanj!
