When the 25-year-old singer's name was announced, she pretended to have one of her trademark excited reactions to the news, causing Timberlake, who was seated next to her, to add to the joke by getting up and walking to the stage to accept the trophy on her behalf.
The "Blank Space" beauty was game for the joke, laughing along and clapping as Timberlake approached the stage. However, the former boy band star stopped himself short and went back to his table to let Swift accept her own award.
