We all know we've missed Janet Jackson and her music. As she celebrated her 49th birthday today, May 16, she gave her fans a huge present. After being relatively MIA for quite some time, she announced she'll release a new album and a world tour.
The singer tweeted a video at midnight early Saturday morning, the video showed footage of the inside of a studio, but then her voice chimes in a voice over.
"I promised you'd hear it from my lips, and now you will," she says in the narration. "This year: new music, new world tour, a new movement."

Did you hear that?! Janet is going on a new world tour and releasing new music! No idea what her "new movement" could be about, but i'm definitely intrigued. This might be the best way to usher in a birthday, that's for sure.
She had been living such a low-key life since marrying billionaire Wissam Al Mana in 2012, that fans started making mock-up missing posters for the "All for You" singer. Although they started as a harmless joke/prank, Janet caught wind of the posters and called them "too funny, too sweet" on Twitter. But her acknowledgment only made fans beg harder for new music from the 49-year-old singer.
