Pharrell Williams is Turning His Hit Song "Happy" into Kids Book

How cool is this. Children really can't get enough of this song. Pharrell Williams is expanding his “Happy” empire into a children’s book series. According to Billboard, the N.E.R.D. member has closed a deal with Putnam, an imprint of Penguin, to write four new books for young readers, starting with one inspired by his 2013 hit song, “Happy.”
On Sept. 22, a 250,000-copy run of "Happy" the book, will be released, featuring photographs of children from around the world, “celebrating what it means to be happy.”
“I’m humbled by the global success of ‘Happy,’ but especially in awe of the song’s young fans,” Pharrell said in a statement. “My collaboration with Penguin allows me to continue a dialogue with these children in a fresh, new way. We’re both committed to feeding the curiosity of young minds with imagination.”
In 2014, Williams received an Oscar nod for Best Original Song (losing to Frozen’s “Let It Go”) but this year it won twu Grammys for Best Pop Solo Performance and Best Music Video. Williams is such a creative mastermind, we can’t wait for the release of his children’s book series.
